"I got so much out of Tulane and, in a way, giving back is a way to show my appreciation. It's also a way for me to help make sure that current and future Tulane students can have the same opportunities that I had. I know the money that I give will support Tulane's scholarships, wonderful professors, student activities, and more." – Steve Herman TC`04 |
"Tulane has been such an important part of my life – I got a great education, made wonderful friends, and had some amazing opportunities. By donating to the school, I feel like I can start to show my gratitude and hopefully, help Tulane offer those same experiences to current and future students." |
"I am making a habit of giving each year. Although I may not be able to increase my gift or give as much as last year, I feel it is important for me to give every year. Tulane changed my life for the better and for that I will forever be in debt. I hope that students for years to come will be able to enjoy as good, if not better, of an experience as I did." – Pete Gauthier TC'04 |
This is the city that introduced us to great jazz, great food, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and all sorts of new people. This is the city that conjures up the image of the late Eddie Gabriel at Pat O's tapping on his tray to Only The Good Die Young. So much has changed since we went to Tulane, and I think it is our responsibility as Tulane alumni to help rebuild the city.
At Tulane, you get a great academic and social education, and both are equally important. A degree can get you in the door, but you have to get yourself the job. You have to be able to relate well with people and network yourself. Tulane graduates learn how to strike that balance – they value friendship, a strong work ethic, and know how to have a good time!
Come on back for the reunion and Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! I think you're making a mistake on a number of levels if you don't come. First, the reunion will give you a great opportunity to reconnect with friends. Second, while Tulane may seem like a distant memory, I can guarantee that being on campus will remind you of some wonderful experiences. Third, worst case scenario, you spend a weekend in New Orleans!
