Nostalgia for this amazing city keeps me connected. New Orleans is a cosmopolitan city that opened my eyes to a bigger world, as students from around the globe brought different perspectives to campus and forever changed my life.
Only At Tulane…
Tulanians are a great group of people, and the university fostered a collegial and educational environment that I really appreciate. I am extremely proud of Tulane's focus on community service. It's great to see students make an impact on a city in need of the commitment and energy of college students. Talented and civic-minded students are coming to the university, and I hope some will decide to stay and build lives and careers in New Orleans.
Only Us…
Wave '09 is a great way to reconnect with old friends and reminisce about what a wonderful experience we had at Tulane. We remember what life was like before laptops and cell phones, that a computer lab once stood where there's now a salon, and when Scott Cowen first came to campus. The reunion is a chance to see how Tulane has evolved and to experience what has changed. For alums who haven't been back to New Orleans since Katrina, it's also a wonderful way to see how the city is bouncing back and learn about what still needs to be done. We hope that you will choose to add to the class gift, because we can really make a difference for our alma mater if each of us gives.
