"Come to New Orleans and see for yourself how far the campus has come since we graduated and since Katrina. It's not your same - old Tulane. It's for the better. There are exciting things happening on campus that people need to know about and see." |
I felt like I was part of the city when I was at Tulane. My sophomore, junior, and senior year, I lived on a residential street and that helped me feel more like a New Orleans resident. You may be at Tulane for four years, but you're not really a part-time resident, you're part of the wonderful community of New Orleans. When I tell people I went to Tulane in New Orleans, it's one of those things you can't stop talking about. I fell in love with the city and I fell in love with the experience.
I wouldn't be where I am today had it not been for the experiences and friendships I made at Tulane. Tulane was very welcoming and the people are so friendly that you feel like you've been there forever from your first visit to campus. You can still go down to New Orleans, visit Tulane, visit the old hangouts, and never really feel like you left the city or the school.
Tulane made us who we are today. Tulane gave us an opportunity, gave us a chance, and helped develop the people we have become. It's only right to give back to the university that gave so much to us.
