New Orleans is po’boys, etouffee, jambalaya, gumbo, beignets, and red beans and rice. New Orleans is streetcars and ferries. New Orleans is antebellum mansions and shotgun homes. New Orleans is Cajun, Zydeco, and Blues. New Orleans is Wards, Districts, Uptown, Downtown, and the Quarter. In short, New Orleans is soul.

I am grateful and proud of the role that Tulane has played in my life. I met my wife in my first class freshman year. I have made lasting friendships. Tulane was instrumental in shaping the man I have become. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that Tulane taught me, taught us, that even the greatest tragedies can be overcome through determination, dedication, and hope.
